ABOUT

My creative art practice is based in traditional materials and includes photography and sculpture inspired by the landscape. Nature is a strong influence in my work, which is rooted in my life long love of the outdoors. Growing up, I was fortunate to have the early life experiences of exploring, learning, and connecting with nature. Time was spent outdoors, in all weather and seasons with nature being an endless source of fascination. 

 

I've had an art practice for over twenty years which includes an exhibition history, and a number of years working as an oil painter doing commissions. Art studies include the Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto School of Art and The Art Students League in New York. As an instructor, I taught programs in painting, and drawing for adults and children of all ages. I also developed and led a successful wire sculpture program, bringing creative programs to schools and public venues for five years.
