Drawing
Much of my work over the years has been drawing. While I dedicated a number of years to learning to paint in oils, I found myself returning to the simplicity and ease of drawing. Some of my favourite works are sketches done on location, either in nature, along city streets, on public transit or in cafes. The immediacy of drawing from life and capturing a moment in time creates a work of art that is often refreshing. Studio drawings include graphite, ink and charcoal. I enjoy the direct, tactile feeling of every drawing, each image a mark-making experience of its own.
