Wire Sculptures

My wire work is inspired by nature. When I look around, I see something of interest everywhere; a leafless branch or delicate lines etched in snow. Layers of tangled growth, plants cascade as they climb or reach for the light. My work is an expression of the beauty that surrounds us.

Wire lends itself well to a creative practice that can be enjoyed by all. The tactile experience of repeating patterns and the ease of twisting and turning a material and the ability of making something by hand is highly appealing. My workshops are out of interest in inspiring others and are available to all ages.

A selection of work to capture light or cast shadow in delicate line. Plant hangers for indoors and out, vessels and shaped figures.

Vessels

Loose weave vessels are shaped using the two-wire twist technique. Shaped forms hint at structures through line.

Finials

Wire finials can hang inside or out; a unique way to define a space, they capture light, cast a shadow or turn in the wind.
